Wireless Series 9900 Communication System Enhances Ramp Operations [ archive item ]

David Clark Company, Worcester, MA, recently introduced its 9900 Series wireless headset communication system for airline / airport ground support applications. The system provides ground support personnel the added mobility to move about the ramp area and communicate freely without being tethered to aircraft.

"The 9900 Series wireless system has been well received by the major airlines and related ground support OEM's," says Dennis Buzzell, manager for aviation products from David Clark Company. "Our wireless system is ideal for a wide variety of ground support applications including pushback, deicing, maintenance and other ramp operations where communication and safety is essential."

A variety of headset styles, including over-the-head, behind-the-head, single-ear and muff-type lets users choose the perfect model to fit their application needs and personal comfort preferences. Reliable components, including wireless gateways and belt stations provide rugged durability and ease of motion. All wireless headsets offer lightweight design, excellent noise attenuation and communication clarity with advanced comfort features for long hours of use.

Key features of the 9900 wireless system to include, hands-free full duplex intercom with DECT-based technology, secure signaling prevent unwanted interception, up to four users per gateway with expanded capabilities and a range of up to 300ft (approximately 100m) from the gateway. A 4-bay charger is available with rechargeable batteries (24hrs). Push-back and 3800 gateways along with the battery recharger all have a five year warranty. Wireless headsets, belt stations, connecting cables and spare parts have a one year warranty.
